GRANT APPLICATION
FOR ORGANIZATIONS
Our Mission: To provide financial and hands-on support for the basic needs of children living in poverty
regardless of nationality, race, gender, politics or religious affiliations, through direct scholarships or grants to
organizations that directly support children.
Grant Criteria: All grants require approval by majority vote of all Directors. The primary criteria for the
selection of programs will be as follows, although KHOPE International reserves the right to use additional
criteria to select programs when requests exceed funds available.
How to Apply: Send a letter that includes:
· Name, address, phone, and email contact.
· Describe how your program furthers our mission and meets the criteria of this program.
· Include a complete description of your organization, including ownership, financial statements
for the past two complete years, and other programs you support.
· Amount you are requesting and a proposed budget for your project.
· Any other information that will help us to better understand your organization
Process:
· Within two weeks of receipt, a letter will be sent to applicant confirming receipt of application and
requesting any additional information needed.

Once a complete application is received, the application will be presented for vote by the Board of
Directors at the next regular meeting.

Within two weeks of the vote a Notice of Decision will be sent to applicant, including any conditions,
along with an Acceptance Agreement.

Applicant must return Acceptance Agreement within 30 days of mailing date or grant will be forfeited.
·
Within two weeks of receiving Acceptance Agreement, KHOPE International will mail a check to the
applicant.
Conditions of Approval: The Board reserves the right to impose any conditions on the grant that they
deem necessary to ensure that funds are used as intended for the furtherance of KHOPE International’s
Mission Statement. Conditions may include but are not limited to requiring periodic written reporting and
accounting or site visits and audits by KHOPE International designees. In cases where funds are determined
to be misused, KHOPE International reserves the right to withhold any future grants previously approved and
to recover funds that were not used as intended.
Decisions: All grant decisions of the Board of Directors are final and not subject to appeal.
Exclusions: Re-granting programs are not eligible.

- Must provide a basic need (including but not limited to food, shelter, clothing, safety, and education) to
a child or children.
- The child or children served must be living in poverty, regardless of economic standards of the country
in which they live.
- Organizations supported must provide assistance directly to children.
- Organizations supported must be able to provide a complete accounting of how funds have been spent
in accordance with our purpose.
- Organizations must supply a copy of their Conflict of Interest and/or ethics policy.
